The art of patchwork has been around for hundreds of years and has even been found in Egyptian history. To many people it's most commonly recognised as these lovely hand stitched hexagons of treasured fabrics which are then sewn together into a bigger piece.

These lovely scatter cushions are backed in fine quality Irish linen and feature swatches of my most treasured vintage fabrics (with one or two pretty modern prints, but very few).

You are probably used to seeing my big floral vintage prints on cushions but I do keep ever little piece of floral beauty so nothing is wasted. There is no way I would dispose of these vintage treasures!

Each hexagonal patch is carefully selected and hand stitched together. They are then machine sewn onto off white Irish linen creating a unique design that's never repeated.

Perfect if you want a small splash of a floral print that has a nod to an ancient technique and is as fashionable now as it ever was.
